At a time when Nasa have begun a project called the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) this single is extremely well timed. LRO is the first mission in NASA's Space Exploration policy, a plan to return to the moon and then to travel to Mars and beyond. Moonwalkers celebrates the 40th anniversary of the first moon landings and Bailey makes a decent job with the music and lyrics. Not the strongest track from his Illawalla album but nevertheless it's a topical and well thought out idea to release this as a single now. Baileys vocal style has oft been compared to David Bowie (not a comparison that many would fare well with) but Bailey carries it off with some aplomb. As a digital only single it is more of a marketing ploy than something to put on your ipod but having said that you could do worse than check out the 'Songs from the Old Illawalla' album for a more considered appreciation of Bailey's work Rating: 3/5
